Norwood Standing Desk (55"x23")

This is exactly what I picture when I think of a cozy work-from-home corner: somewhere comfortable, personal, and still very much part of my home. What drew me to Norwood was the combination of the wood-look top and light-colored legs. It fits so naturally with the soft cream tones in this room. A few notebooks and a vase of yellow branches make the whole setup feel a little more like me.I like keeping just my everyday essentials on the desk: my laptop, a couple of pens, and whatever notes I’m working through. There’s still space to open a notebook and jot things down without everything feeling crowded. With a cushioned chair and a rug underneath, it’s the kind of corner I enjoy settling into. Having a dedicated place to start the day feels like a small ritual—and when the laptop closes, it’s still a lovely part of the room.

My favorite spot in the house is right beside this window overlooking the garden. When I pictured my home office, this was where I wanted the desk to go. I love being able to look up at the trees, and the sunlight brings out such lovely detail in the desktop. Norwood’s wood tone works beautifully with the bookcase, while the lighter base keeps the room feeling airy. A brown chair and a warm-toned lamp finish the space perfectly.
I keep the setup simple: a laptop, a few books I’m halfway through, and a small cup of pencils. I like having a handful of useful things within reach and plenty of open space around them. Once I’m finished with a task, I can close the laptop and spend a little time reading by the window. That’s what makes this corner special to me: it fits both the productive and the quieter parts of my day.

When adding a desk to my living room, my biggest consideration was how it would look alongside the furniture already there. With a green sofa, a woven chair, and plenty of natural light, I wanted the workspace to feel just as soft and relaxed.
