We bought this for a slightly niche reason. Our PC is connected to our TV and has until recently rested on the floor. Then we decided to get a puppy but not without some careful decision making before-hand to make sure we were best positioned to do so. One of the concerns we had was what if our new puppy (a male) starts to left his leg to pee as he gets older? What if that then leads to him peeing on the PC? It would inevitably destroy the PC but worse still could electrocute him. We didn't have any space to put the PC on the TV unit and didn't have much space between the TV unit and the door to put another table - or at least not one slim enough to not cause an awkward tight gap on eterring or leaving the room. We searched high and low for a narrow side-table to hold the PC but nothing was perfect. It would either look dreadful (perhaps just not to my own taste) have a maximum weight limit that couldn't bare the weight of the PC or have a huge price tag and still not be particularly to my taste (i.e. solid oak solutions). Eventually I stumbled onto this CPU stand. It's not particularly amazing to look at but then nothing was. It is however capable of holding sufficient weight and elevating our PC while consuming barely any space and not breaking the bank. The only thing I would vaguely describe as a problem is that even when the wheel is locked there is still a little movement. It's not a big deal. It's not particularly 'easy' to move but it's not difficult either.
