The EUREKA ERGONOMIC 316-Piece Cable Management Organizer Kit looks like a very complete solution for tackling a messy desk setup. My workspace has grown over time into a fairly complex arrangement. It includes a four-port dual monitor KVM, two monitors, two PC towers, two laptops, a mesh router, cable modem, network switch, backup power supply, several lamps, a multifunction laser printer, and even a portable AC unit. As expected, that many devices create dozens of power cords and data cables in one corner of the home office, which quickly becomes cluttered and hard to manage.
I am currently planning a small workspace upgrade with a new motorized workbench, and part of the project is to redo all of the wiring and clean up the cable routing. This kit seemed like a good option because it includes a wide variety of cable management pieces in one package. The assortment includes two metal cable raceways, cable sleeves, adhesive wire ties, many clips, cord holders, and a large number of zip ties.
After opening the kit, the first impression is very positive. The metal raceways feel sturdy and well made, and the parts overall appear solid and well machined. The plastic components also look durable, not thin or flimsy. Everything is neatly organized and there is a generous quantity of clips and ties, which should make it easier to route cables cleanly under the desk and along the frame of the new workbench.
Because the kit includes so many pieces and several different management styles, it should allow flexible routing for both power cords and network cables. Between the raceways for larger bundles and the clips and sleeves for smaller runs, it appears capable of handling a fairly complex setup like mine.
Overall, this kit gives a strong first impression. The materials appear durable, the components are well made, and the large assortment should make it possible to organize even a busy workstation with many devices.
